Workflow Auto-Reload System

Configuration

The system includes an automatic workflow reload mechanism that ensures workflows persist across container restarts:

  • Service: n8n-workflow-reload.service (systemd)
  • Status: Enabled and configured
  • Trigger: Runs on LXC container start
  • Template: /opt/customer-stack/workflow-template.json
  • Script: /opt/customer-stack/reload-workflow.sh

How It Works

  1. On container restart, systemd triggers the reload service
  2. Service waits for n8n to be ready
  3. Automatically recreates credentials (PostgreSQL, Ollama)
  4. Re-imports workflow from template
  5. Activates the workflow
  6. No manual intervention required
